National Hardware has been supplying dependable working hardware since 1901, and this V853 stainless steel gate latch cable is a simple but valuable piece for keeping outdoor gates easy to operate from either side. This is National Hardware part N109-009, UPC 886780017533, supplied as a 1-piece stainless steel gate latch cable in visual-pack packaging.Manufacturer information lists this cable as designed for opening a gate latch from the opposite side of the gate. It installs with most existing gate latches and uses durable steel wire construction for strength. The technical drawing identifies the material and finish as stainless steel, with an overall cable length of approximately 12-5/8 in. / 320.8 mm, working length shown at approximately 8-3/4 in. / 222 mm, and cable diameter of 1/16 in. / 1.5 mm. National Hardware also specifies WeatherGuard protection to help withstand harsh outdoor conditions and resist corrosion.Condition is new old stock: unused, uninstalled, and sold as NOS. Packaging may show normal shelf wear from storage, but the cable itself is new. This is not an OEM engine, steering, or throttle cable; it is a stainless gate latch pull cable suitable for dock gates, marina yard gates, boatyard access gates, fence gates, sheds, storage areas, and other outdoor latch applications where corrosion-resistant hardware is preferred.
