The Innits were a German indie-pop outfit active in the mid-2000s, centered around the songwriting of Mek Obaam (vocals, drums, guitar). Based in Berlin, the band was a fixture of the city's vibrant DIY scene, releasing their work through the cult favorite label Sunday Service. The group featured a collaborative lineup including Jannes Wurps (bass), Vincenzo Perrotta (guitar), and Dirk Kretz (guitar). Their sound is often characterized by its earnest, melodic simplicity and a quintessentially "indie" aesthetic that feels both nostalgic and timeless.Released in 2007, Everything Is True is a hidden gem of European Indie Pop.
