Up for sale is a gorgeous, vintage handmade studio art pottery bowl. This beautiful stoneware piece features an elegant, wide-flaring body that tapers down to a raised, unglazed foot ring. The underside of the base features a distinct, handwritten artist signature that reads "Maureen." The glaze application is exceptionally artistic, showcasing a multi-layered iron and ash drip glaze technique. Earthy, variegated shades of golden amber, espresso brown, and metallic tan organically flow and cascade down the surface, creating an unpredictable, natural textured finish. It features a wonderful mid-century modernist or traditional Japanese tea ceremony (Chawan / Tenmoku) aesthetic that serves beautifully as a tabletop centerpiece bowl, a decorative display, or a unique addition to an art pottery collection.
