For sale is an authentic 1930s Great Depression-era handwritten recipe notebook and farm ledger. It began as a 1932 promotional pocket diary from the Olsen-Keogh Poultry Co. of St. Paul, MN. It was owned, signed, and resourcefully repurposed by Mrs. John F. Paul of rural Ward, South Dakota (noted by her R.F.D. address).Historical Highlights:1936 Farm Ledger: Tracks farm poultry income: “Sold Geese — $8.40” and “Sold Turkeys — $6.00.”Condition: As-is. Covers are fully detached from the loose paper block. Pages show heavy, authentic kitchen character, oil spots, and ink bleeding.
