Up for sale is a beautiful, highly detailed vintage 3D bas-relief wall plaque manufactured in England during the 1930s. Titled "A Friendly Call," this piece was masterfully sculpted by the listed artist Arthur Osborne. It depicts an old-world English village scene featuring a traveler and horse arriving outside a tavern or cottage, highlighted by a large detailed cartwheel. Ivorex plaques are highly collectible pieces made from a unique plaster-of-Paris base finished in a smooth wax layer and entirely hand-painted, giving the scene an incredible ivory-like depth and texture.
