This is an authentic antique late 19th to early 20th-century Chinese Shiwan pottery hexagonal ginger jar. It features a beautifully molded floral relief pattern under a thick, crackled turquoise-green glaze. The jar comes encased in its original, hand-woven split bamboo wicker transit basket harness with a built-in top hanging loop.Condition Note: In excellent antique condition. The wicker basket wrap is remarkably well-preserved with no major breaks or unravelling. The jar itself has no visible cracks or repairs. The base is flat, rough, and unglazed, showing authentic kiln debris and glaze drops characteristic of period production. Please see photos for exact condition details.
