**Please Refer To ALL Pictures, To Help Determine CONDITION**Please Take A Moment To View All Of Our Hats-THANK YOU!Up for sale is an authentic, original 19th-century Victorian advertising trade card for The Downs Patent Self-Adjusting Corset (Improved). This beautifully preserved piece of vintage fashion ephemera features a colorful chromolithograph illustration of a butterfly and bright yellow wildflowers on the front. The front includes a local merchant overprint for Mrs. E. J. Ragon, who sold "Millinery, Notions, &c." in Burlington Junction, Missouri. The reverse side features highly detailed ad copy illustrating the corset's design, highlighting its "Elastic Gores" and the claim that it "will not break down over the hips" alongside endorsements by leading physicians.Condition:This is an original antique item from the late 1870s/1880s.
