Vintage Manos Del Uruguay Handspun Virgin Wool Poncho Fringe Cape Shawl Wrap Green An incredible piece of wearable fiber art! This is an authentic vintage 1970s/1980s Manos del Uruguay handspun and handmade 100% virgin wool ruana-style open poncho wrap. It is crafted in a beautiful, multi-tonal earthy heathered green palette featuring a rustic, thick-and-thin single-ply Wool Clásica weave. The bottom hemline is heavily finished with a thick, matching hand-knotted fringe that adds beautiful movement when worn. Manos del Uruguay is a legendary, certified fair-trade non-profit cooperative of female artisans in rural Uruguay founded in 1968. Because their garments are completely hand-spun and kettle-dyed, no two pieces in the world are exactly alike.In very nice pre-owned condition with no visible stains or tears.
