Title: Vintage Bausch & Lomb Balopticon Model B Magic Lantern Slide Projector – Complete Working Set with Original Metal Case & Instruction Manual Condition: Used / Vintage / Tested & Working Product Overview Up for sale is a beautiful, exceptionally preserved piece of photographic history: a Bausch & Lomb Balopticon Model B glass slide projector, manufactured circa 1910s–1920s. This complete estate find includes the original textured black metal carrying case and the original paper instruction manual. Unlike most vintage projectors found online today, this unit has been tested and successfully powers on (see photos showing internal light functionality). It is an exceptional addition for antique camera collectors, magic lantern historians, or as a striking piece of industrial steampunk decor. Condition Report & Features Tested Light Source: The internal lamp housing is fully functional, and the bulb throws strong, bright light. Excellent Bellows: The black leather accordion bellows are structurally sound, flexible, hold their shape perfectly, and are free of dry-rot, major cracking, or tears. Modernized Plug: The power cord features an updated rubberized plug rather than a dangerous original cloth cord, making it much safer to handle and demonstrate. Premium Completeness: Includes the original dual slide carrier tray, the front lens element, the original metal transport box, and the authentic Bausch & Lomb instruction booklet. Cosmetics: The black enamel finish on the heavy iron body and lamp house is very clean with minimal paint loss, light surface wear, or minor aging consistent with a century-old artifact. The metal case shows authentic exterior weathering and patina and is missing the strap but remains structurally solid with a working latch.
