Product Details: Brand: Varney Scale: HO Scale Model Type: EMD NW2 / SW7 Diesel Yard Switcher Road Name: Baltimore & Ohio (B&O) Road Number: 475 Features: Heavy die-cast frame, factory zebra-striped side sills, original brass wheels. Includes the original vintage Varney "Ready to Roll" blue and white box. Condition Report: This vintage locomotive is being sold Untested / As-is as a fantastic restoration project or a complete addition to a vintage HO collection. Please review the details below and see the photos for exact cosmetic condition: Body & Paint: The plastic body shell is structurally sound with no cracks. The "Baltimore & Ohio" lettering and yellow cab numbers are crisp. There is some typical light paint scuffing on the roof edges and cab. Details: Excellent structural completeness! The highly fragile roof-mounted brass bell, exhaust stacks, horn, and side wire handrails are all completely intact and straight. Front and rear couplers are present. Underbelly: The underside is remarkably clean. The brass wheels show very little pitting or heavy grease buildup, and the plastic Varney-stamped bottom plates are intact. Corrosion Note: There is some visible green oxidation blooming on the side metal handrails/vent areas (common for these early models when stored). This will require a gentle cleaning by the buyer. Box: Includes the original "Ready to Roll" box. The outer box has some expected shelf wear, and the inner cardboard sleeve has a torn corner, but it still holds the engine securely.
