Up for sale is a stunning Antique Asian Water Pipe, a true masterpiece of Oriental craftsmanship dating from the late 19th to early 20th century (Late Qing Dynasty / French Indochina period). This piece is not only a functional smoking implement but also a highly decorative work of art, likely originating from Southern China or the Tonkin region of Vietnam.Item Details:Material: Carved from high-quality dark hardwood (likely Rosewood or Zitan) with a deep, natural patina.Artistry: The body is exquisitely decorated with hand-inlaid Mother of Pearl (Nacre). The intricate designs feature traditional floral motifs, birds (symbolizing longevity and joy), and vertical columns of Classical Chinese Calligraphy.Construction: Features a cylindrical water chamber, a raised backrest with scrolled cloud patterns, and metal fittings.
