Featuring an orange globe with purple Mickey ears, this design symbolized global guest service and convention leadership within WDW and was worn so Cast could instantly recognize the convention group head.Unlike standard trading pins, this Guest Relations Mickey Head Icon pin was not sold in regular merchandise locations and was intended for internal Guest Relations and convention planner use only. The enamel and metal present very nicely under normal viewing, with strong color on the orange globe and purple Mickey ears and no obvious dings, chips, or heavy wear on the face of the pin. The pin is loose (no original backing card) and includes a metal pin back, consistent with how it would have been worn on costume, making it a great addition to any Cast-exclusive or role-specific pin board or framed display.Pin catalog references note that this design was given to the head of convention groups, the person responsible for making decisions and authorizing charges, and in many cases these pins were meant to be turned back in after use.
