Salvador Dali ( 1904-1989 ) Original Hand Signed pencil Lithograph Limited Edition 89/300 This is an original hand signed limited edition Dali lithograph. It was created from the original oil on canvas painting (14x9 feet) that Salvador Dali completes in 1959. Watermark Bfk Rives France infinity on the back shown on the photos. Numbered 89/300 pencil in lower left margin. Signed pencil by the artist in lower right margin. Measurements: 35 1/4 w The work was commissioned by Huntington Hutford to the A in New York City. The museum was located on Columbus circle, hence Mr. Hartford s subject. As a devout Roman Catholic, Dali portrayed Columbus as a Christian savior, bringing the true church and salvation to the new world. Dali includes himself in the piece as a monk. The painting is displayed in Salvador Dali museum in St. Petersburg Florida.
