Up for sale is a beautiful and authentic vintage 1970 octagonal wooden box purse / handbag. This piece is a wonderful, highly detailed example of the 1970s American DIY decoupage folk art trend.The purse features a charming, wrap-around nostalgic Americana town street scene. Each of the octagonal sides depicts a different vintage establishment:Candy shop with a pink awningProduce marketIce Cream parlorDry Goods storeGeneral StoreA red brick public schoolhouse A classic town church with a steepleKey Features and Details:Artist Signed: Hand-signed and dated by the maker on the inside lid: "Lynn de Russy, 1970".Shape and Base: Unique 8-sided Octagon shape with 4 protective brass metal feet on the bottom.Handle: Sturdy matte white plastic top handle with brass-tone hardware connectors.Color: Olive green painted wood base.Interior: Lined with a bright yellow felt lining, finished with a white decorative trim.Condition:This is an authentic vintage item that is over 50 years old and shows honest signs of age and pre-owned wear.
