Issued on 1st January 1992 by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC), this "green lion" note is a testament to the city's financial prestige in the years leading up to the 1997 handover. One of the final series issued under British administration, featuring the royal coat of arms.<br><br>The reverse prominently displays the legendary bronze lions, Stephen and Stitt, which have long symbolized the strength of Hong Kong's economy.<br><br>Serial number: PY257979<br><br>Security Verified: Glows under UV light, lion head watermark when held to the light.<br><br>Measures: Approx. 138 x 69 mm<br><br>Condition: Circulated with folds, foxing, paper softening.
