This classic £1 note belongs to the Series C issue, known as the first Bank of England series to feature the portrait of a reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth II. Issued between 1960 and 1978, this note was issued before it was replaced by the £1 coin in 1983.<br><br>Features a young portrait of Queen Elizabeth II in the Diamond Diadem on the front and a seated figure of Britannia on the reverse.<br><br>Serial number: T97D 061939<br><br>Security Verified: Watermark with a vertical row of laureate heads, a solid metal thread embedded vertically, and intricate guilloches on both sides.<br><br>Measures: Approximately 151mm x 72mm<br><br>Condition: Heavily circulated with folds, tears, edge wear, creases and paper softening. It comes secured in an archival sleeve.
