Social History: These cards represent the 20th-century "Grand Tour" of art, where travelers collected various prints of the same famous work to document their visits to major religious sites. Collecting multiple versions of the same world-renowned fresco allowed travelers to capture different lightings and color saturations of the massive wall.<br><br>Scene: Monumental Renaissance masterpiece by Bernardino Luini in the Church of Santa Maria degli Angioli in Lugano, Switzerland.<br><br>Size: Continental 6 x 4"<br><br>Era/Print Type: Mid-century Chrome era color lithographs.
