Dating from the mid-1970s era, this 100 Cien Soles de Oro banknote issued by the Banco Central de Reserva del Perú, is highly prized by numismatists for its complex, security-conscious geometric linework and gorgeous representations of indigenous history. Features Túpac Amaru II, the indigenous leader who spearheaded a massive 1780 uprising against Spanish colonial rule and aerial view of Machu Picchu.<br><br>Serial: BQ 0402202<br><br>Size: Approximately 155 mm × 65 mm<br><br>Security: Under an ultraviolet light source, the entire silhouette of Machu Picchu illuminates in a brilliant, glowing neon-green and yellow patterned overlay.
