This banknote lot consists of three authentic 1940s World War II-era French banknotes issued by the Bank of France (Banque de France), capturing the critical transition from the outbreak of the war to the occupation era.20 Francs "Science et Travail" (Dated 1940): Issued just months before the German invasion (Blitzkrieg), capturing the final days of the Third Republic. Approximately 160 mm x 97 mm.20 Francs "Pêcheur" (circa 1942): Released during the German occupation/Vichy regime, highlighting localized regional motifs. Approximately 130 mm x 80 mm.5 Francs "Violet" (Dated late 1940): A classical pre-war design that continued production during the early occupation months to stabilize daily commercial transactions. Approximately 125 mm x 80 mm.Serial: T.1068 / N°113 (20 Francs), L.85 / N°08226 (20 Francs Pêcheur), and Q.67830 / N°772 (5 Francs Violet)Security: Masterfully dense, colorful guilloché background mesh fields.
