Amazing, reverse carved, chunky, vintage apple juice colored Bakelite brooch with matching screw-back earrings. The brooch is featured in The "Collecting Art Plastic Jewelry" by Leigh Leshner on page 187. It is is a clear, honey-color. Inside the brooch, you can see a deeply carved, stylized flower! The reversed carved Bakelite style is very Art Deco. Please note that the white "dots" you see in most of the pictures are just a reflection of the lights in the lightbox.Round black circular back. Pin mechanism is riveted into the back and fastens with a locking C clasp. Rivets are nice and snug.Pin mechanism is in good working order. Plating on pin back is showing wear so be sure to review the pics. cannot describe how gorgeous & unusual this brooch is- the pictures do not do it justice! Color: clear apple juice color, with reverse carving. Pin Dimensions: 1.5" x 1.5" x 5/8". Earrings: 3/4" This piece is in excellent vintage condition. It'd be a fantastic addition to any collection!
