I personally can vouch for the provenance of this locket. When I was young teen in the 60's, my mom helped care for an elderly couple in the town next to us in Pennsylvania. This locket was given to my mother by the woman of that couple, and it is adorned with her initial LMN. She was born in 1877, and this was engraved with her married initials. They were married before the 1920 census, so it's at least 100 years old.All stones are present. One is dark, but I was afraid to clean this piece. Both celluloids are present. One is pictured, and the other one is tightly present in the locket.This rare antique locket, crafted in the early 1900s, is a striking piece of Edwardian-era jewelry. The front is adorned with a floral motif accented by sparkling stones on unknown type, while the back is engraved with the elegant initials LMN, adding a personal historical touch.The locket appears to be gold-filled and is a gorgeous and unusual piece, perfect for collectors or those who love unique antique jewelry.
