Brand/Model: Model DO-8 (Made in Japan).Era: c. 1960s (Mid-Century Modern style).Style: Classic "French-style" cradle telephone with a brass-finish base and cradle, paired with a cream-colored body and handset.Dimensions: 7.5" W x 8.5" D x 8.5" H.Condition: Vintage As-Is. The phone is in good cosmetic condition for its age with an attractive, aged brass patina. Note: The bottom horn of the handset is currently loose and detaches from the handset; however, this is a clean break that can be easily repaired with a small amount of adhesive. The cords (handset and wall) are approximately 5' long and appear original. This was last tested a few years ago; I have since cancelled my landline so it has not been used since.Item Details• Aesthetic: Features a lovely ornamental dial center depicting a period-style couple in a garden scene.• Build: The combination of the cream-tone body and the brass-finish dial surround and cradle makes this a perfect "statement piece" for a retro-styled office, vanity, or living space.• Bottom Base: Features original rubber feet and a clear serial number (10447) stamp, confirming its Japanese manufacture.Collector’s Note:These DO-8 models were the quintessential "luxury" decorative phones of the 60s, often purchased specifically for their look rather than their performance.
