There's something genuinely charming about a 45-cent book that meant to teach the next generation of home sewists everything from threading a needle to sewing corners on lined paper — and this one delivered. Sewing is Fun by Edith Paul is an authorized abridgment of the original Singer Sewing Machine Company instructional book, published by Scholastic Book Services and illustrated throughout by Catherine Scholz in a delightful mid-century two-color style (salmon pages, teal ink — very of its era).This is the 7th printing, February 1967, making it a legitimate piece of vintage Singer/Scholastic ephemera.
