Authentic, vintage 1920s Arts & Crafts "Brushed Ware" ceramic wall pocket produced by Red Wing Pottery. This classic cone-shaped vase features a beautifully detailed relief design of a bird perched among grapevines and leaves, finished with a Greek key border along the top rim.True to Red Wing's production methods for this line during the 1920s, this piece is entirely unmarked on the reverse. It features the beautiful matte green and creamy clay contrast characteristic of early American art potteryThis piece is being sold in Fair / Decorator condition due to some historic wear on the reverse side. Please review all photos closely:Hairline Crack: There is a vertical hairline crack on the upper reverse rim (visible in photos). It is tight and structurally stable, but it does penetrate the ceramic body.Surface Discoloration: The back features white mineral lines (limescale) from past plant usage and some orange rust staining around the hanging hole from a historic iron nail.Front Display: The front face of the wall pocket remains in beautiful condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs to the relief artwork.This remains an excellent, highly displayable piece for any collector of historic Midwest or Red Wing art pottery!
