This 50th Anniversary Collector’s Edition of The Hobbit (ISBN 0-395-17711-1) is a center-piece for any Tolkien collection. Released by Houghton Mifflin in 1987, this edition maintains the classic aesthetic of the original 1973 collector's release while adding significant value for scholars and fans alike.
