The Wiseman King Gaspar #72515, featured in your image, is a prime example of this collection’s beauty. Each figure in this collection is crafted from a durable polymer resin, ensuring longevity and resistance to wear, making it a perfect addition to any nativity scene. The manufacturing process of Fontanini figurines is a blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern techniques. It begins with a detailed sculpture, often crafted in clay or plastiline, which serves as the prototype for the mold. Once the mold is created, the figures are cast in a unique polymer that captures every fine detail of the original sculpture. This material is not only durable but also allows for a high level of detail, making each piece a miniature work of art.Painting these figurines is an art form in itself. Each piece is hand-painted by skilled artisans, often in their own homes or workshops in the Lucchese hills of Italy. The painting process is done in stages, with different artists focusing on specific parts of the figure, such as the robe, the belt, or the facial features. This method ensures that each figure is unique, with slight variations that add to its charm and authenticity. The vibrant colors and lifelike details bring each character to life, making them a cherished addition to any nativity scene. The Fontanini Heirloom Nativity Collection is more than just a set of figurines; it is a piece of history and a symbol of tradition. The Fontanini family has been creating these beautiful nativity sets for over a century, and their commitment to quality and artistry is evident in every piece.
