Beautiful antique photographic souvenir brooch featuring the historic Hartford Bridge in Hartford, Connecticut, now known as the Bulkeley Bridge. The front features a sepia-toned photographic image of the bridge and Hartford skyline, surrounded by an ornate rope-style metal frame. The reverse is stamped “Noble & Westbrook, Hartford, Conn.” and has a long metal pin fastening. The Hartford Bridge opened in 1908, and Noble & Westbrook is documented as having produced souvenir items associated with the bridge’s dedication. This brooch is believed to date to the early 1900s. Condition: Antique pre-owned condition with age-related patina, discoloration and wear to the image and metal. Please examine all photographs carefully as they are part of the description. A wonderful piece of Connecticut history for collectors of antique jewelry, early photographic souvenirs, Hartford memorabilia and historic bridges.
