This is a rare, bespoke two-piece ensemble—consisting of a jacket and matching vest—hand-tailored by the legendary Savile Row house Jones, Chalk & Dawson Ltd., located at 6 Sackville Street, London. Expertly crafted in 1970 as seen on hand written tag, this set represents the pinnacle of British sartorial tradition, featuring exquisite hand-finished details and the original tailor’s internal ledger label, which documents the date and bespoke origin of the piece. Maker: Jones, Chalk & Dawson Ltd., Savile Row, London. Era: 1970 (Bespoke/Custom-made). Construction: Bespoke construction featuring extensive hand-stitching on the lapels and buttonholes, which provides superior durability and a refined roll to the lapels. Details: Jacket features functional "surgeon's cuffs" (working buttonholes) and a high-quality felt under-collar (collar melton) for a superior fit against the neck. Vest/Waistcoat: Includes the original matching vest, which is fully lined in a refined striped fabric and features a rear buckle adjuster for a precise fit. Condition: This vintage ensemble has been exceptionally well-preserved for its age. There is some pulling on certain seams with possible repairs.
