A stunning piece of fashion history: a vintage late 1970s / early 1980s Christian Dior featuring two structured rows of high-luster faux pearls punctuated by signature black enamel spacer bars, leading to a brilliant central medallion.Manufactured in Pforzheim, Germany by the legendary master jewelers Henkel & Grossé, this piece exemplifies the weight, heavy gold-plating, and exceptional craftsmanship that makes German-era Dior costume jewelry highly prized by luxury collectors worldwide.Product Details:• Stamped "Chr. Dior Germany" on the clasp toggle; "Chr. Dior" on the reverse side of the central medallion.• Total Length: 15 inches with an integrated 2-inch extender chain (adjustable up to 17 inches).• Medallion Dimensions: Approximately 25mm x 20mm.Condition Report:• VERY good vintage condition. Faux Pearls are excellent- nacre coating is beautifully intact, smooth, and vibrant with no peeling or notable scratching. Gold-plating is rich and shows minimal wear. The clasp functions smoothly and securely. Crystals/Rhinestones: All stones are physically present and intact. Please note that a few rhinestones exhibit oxidized backings ("deadening"), resulting in a darkened, grayed appearance in those select spots. This is a natural aging process for vintage foil-backed stones but has been factored into the price.A gorgeous addition to any vintage haute couture collection!
