charming vintage ceramic figurine of a traditional Japanese festival boy/drummer, imported by the renowned Toyo Trading Company. The young boy is beautifully hand-painted, wearing a traditional light blue outfit with a twisted hachimaki headband, joyfully playing a shime-daiko (festival drum). <br><br>This piece dates back to the mid-to-late 20th century (circa 1960s-1980s) and features a lovely mix of a smooth, matte bisque finish on the skin/clothes with glossy painted details. <br><br>**Condition:**<br>Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The colors remain bright. It still retains its original, authentic gold foil "Toyo Japan" label on the bottom felt. Please review all photos carefully as they serve as part of the physical description.<br>
