Vintage 1981 FreedomPhone 3050 Cordless Telephone System – Made in Japan Offered for sale is an original FreedomPhone 3050 cordless telephone system, manufactured in Japan in 1981 for Electra/Masco Corporation. This is an early-generation cordless telephone and a desirable piece of vintage consumer electronics history. This set includes the original matching handset and base station with matching serial numbers, original retail box, styrofoam inserts, cables, and original paperwork. Included: FreedomPhone 3050 handset FreedomPhone 3050 base station Original telescoping antennas Original cables Original styrofoam packaging inserts Original retail box Original caution/paper inserts Testing Performed: Base powers on POWER indicator illuminates CHARGE/SECURE indicator illuminates Handset charges while docked Both telescoping antennas extend and retract properly Matching serial numbers confirmed Please Note: The unit was not tested with an active telephone line because no landline service was available. Original rechargeable batteries are included; however, battery capacity and long-term charge retention have not been tested due to age. This item is being sold as a vintage collectible electronic device. Cosmetic Condition: The telephone system is in very good vintage condition with light wear from age and storage. The original box shows shelf wear, edge wear, and minor storage damage consistent with over 40 years of age. Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the description.
