Antique Framed Portrait of Francisco I. Madero – Mexican Revolution President (c. 1910s) Up for sale is a rare, authentic antique black-and-white portrait photograph of Francisco Ignacio Madero González, a pivotal leader of the Mexican Revolution and President of Mexico from 1911 until his tragic assassination in 1913. Historical Provenance & Backing Notes: The back of the frame features a highly compelling, vintage handwritten inscription in English, likely from an American family connected to the era: "Francisco I Madero - Friend of Family - Started Revolution of 1910 - Became President of Mexico only to be assassinated" Additionally, the cardboard backing bears the authentic purple stamp of the historic framing workshop in Mexico: "CASA RAMOS - MARCOS, MOLDURAS... Guadalajara, Jal.", further confirming its local Mexican origin and historical authenticity. Item Details & Specifications: Subject: President Francisco I. Madero Estimated Era: 1910s - early 1920s Total Size (with Frame): Approx. 8.5 x 5.5 inches Framing: Housed in its original period wooden frame with primitive wire hanging hardware.
