Vintage Mattel Charity Cahill Talking Doll – Working – 20 Inches – Made in USA Offered is a beautiful vintage Charity Cahill talking doll manufactured by Mattel in the early 1960s. She measures approximately 20 inches tall and features bright blue sleep eyes, adorable freckles, rooted blonde hair, and her signature two front teeth. One of the highlights of this doll is that the original talking mechanism is still working, and a video demonstrating the voice is included with this listing. This is a wonderful collectible for vintage Mattel doll enthusiasts. U.S. Patent Pending Patent in Canada 1962 Original talking mechanism Talking mechanism works Video included Blue sleep eyes Rooted blonde hair Freckled face Vinyl head, arms and legs Hard plastic torso Soft facial expression with original two-tooth smile Condition This is a vintage doll and shows normal age-related wear. Cosmetic condition Hair remains full with good coverage. Face displays beautifully with bright colors. Original freckles remain vivid. Sleep eyes work. The right eye occasionally does not fully open or close until gently adjusted. This appears to be related to the eyelash/eye mechanism and is not constant. Shoes show finish loss and wear. Socks have light discoloration from age. Clothing appears clean and displays nicely. Originality has not been confirmed. Body The talking mechanism is working and demonstrated in the included video. The hard plastic torso shows: age-related glue residue, separation along portions of the side torso seams, separation near the shoulder/neck seam, as shown in the photographs. These appear to be age-related issues commonly found on vintage hard plastic dolls. The torso remains assembled and structurally intact. There are additional light scratches, scuffs, marks and age wear consistent with normal vintage use. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the description.
