Beautiful pair of vintage studio pottery candle holders, hand signed and dated 1967 by the artist Burma Alken. These sculptural candle holders feature a striking organic mid-century modern design, resembling stylized flowers or plant forms. The flowing bases are finished in a rich earth-tone glaze with green and brown tones, while the upper candle cups are glazed in a soft cream color, creating a wonderful contrast. Both pieces are hand signed “Burma Alken 1967” on the base, making them collectible examples of mid-century studio art pottery.
