Vintage Samsonite Style 4512 Train / Vanity Case with Interior Mirror Original vintage Samsonite hard-sided cosmetic/train case manufactured by Shwayder Bros., Inc., Denver, Colorado. The original interior label is present and marked: Samsonite Luggage Style 4512 Shwayder Bros., Inc. Denver Classic mid-century Samsonite design featuring a beige/tan hard-sided exterior, gold-tone hardware, carrying handle, interior mirror and elasticized storage pockets. FUNCTION / HARDWARE: Both exterior side latches are present and working properly. The center key lock is present. No key is included. Because there is no key, the locking function has not been tested with a key and no guarantee is made regarding operation of the lock. The carrying handle is intact. CONDITION: This is an older vintage piece and shows substantial cosmetic wear from age, use and storage. Exterior has widespread discoloration, spotting/staining, surface marks, scuffs, scratches and finish wear. Trim and edges show wear, discoloration, marks and areas of finish loss. Gold-tone/brass-tone hardware has tarnish, oxidation/discoloration, scratches and age-related finish wear. Interior lining and pockets show discoloration, stains, marks, soiling and general age/use wear. The interior mirror is present and intact but shows scratches, spotting/cloudiness and other age-related surface wear. No key is included. No removable accessory/cosmetic tray is included — only the items actually shown in the photographs are included. This case has not been professionally cleaned or restored. Because of its age, we have not attempted to restore, polish or aggressively clean the materials or hardware. PLEASE NOTE: This is a vintage collectible with visible age and wear and should not be expected to look new or like modern luggage. Please examine ALL PHOTOS closely and use the zoom feature.
