Arita/Imari porcelain. These pieces were purchased in antique stores outside Yokosuka, Japan, and Nagasawa in 1969 by my mother while we were living in Japan, where my father was stationed for the United States Navy. We returned to the United States in 1970. <br><br>For those of you trying to determine when these items were purchased, I want to clarify that they were not bought in the mid-1970s. It is possible they were sold in the United States during that time, but they were not purchased here. Both my mother and father confirmed that these pieces were bought in an antique store and were already considered antiques at the time of purchase. Therefore, please do not attempt to tell me when my family bought these items or when they were made. These are antiques. Thank you, and I wish everyone who reads this to understand that I am sorry if you cannot understand that when one who does not know you tries to tell you your life, or when something you are selling, the year it was purchased.
