These items are all over 60 years old and manufactured by top names in the fine silver market.("They are not being sold for mineral value or melting.")It is very rare to find a "pure" Sterling teapot, coffee pot, or urn. 90% of these items are made with a percentage of copper (Wellington Silver) to create a hard object that will not deform after repeated use of hot beverages, which will deform Sterling Silver. So please Google and educate yourself about why coffee pots and teapots were made from plated and not sterling silver itself. There is an article on this subject so please Google this for yourself I'm sorry I don't have the link but I do state some of it above that was from the article. These are not made of 925 Sterling Silver once again as I originally stated these are these are plated Silver. Please be aware that you still need to clean these with a Sterling Silver cleaner.
