Handmade Mexican folk art terracotta pottery piece featuring three rabbits arranged around a central cup, originally used to hold a small taper candle or cone incense. The clay shows natural reddish and tan earthen tones with traces of original slip . This piece is solid and heavy (approx. 4 lbs), not hollow or mass-produced. Measures approx. 7” wide and 3.5” tall. There is possible lost tails on all three rabbits please review pics and general surface wear consistent with age and handmade pottery. Please review the photos carefully. The piece remains structurally sound and displays very well with great rustic character. Stylistically consistent with mid-20th century Mexican folk terracotta from regions such as Oaxaca and Puebla.I have searched the web for this and can't find it anywhere it was and estate find.
