This is a Breyer Traditional Series Running Mare, often nicknamed “Sugar.” The mold was introduced in 1961 and sculpted by renowned Breyer artist Chris Hess. This particular model has the “Breyer Molding Co. U.S.A.” stamp on the inner leg, dating it to a later production run (1970s or after). The horse is finished in a bay coat with black mane and tail, black points, and white socks. She measures approximately 9 inches tall and 11 inches long. Overall condition is very good for its age, with typical light handling or shelf wear visible upon close inspection. Please review photos carefully for details. A classic addition to any Breyer collection, especially for those who enjoy the early Traditional Series molds by Chris Hess. Disclaimer: This is a molded plastic Breyer figure, not a statue.
