Antique early 20th century Rummy card game set by United Games Co., Brooklyn, New York. Copyright dated 1916. Includes original “Improved Rules for the Games of Rummy” booklets, original card decks with lettered cards (A, B, C, D), original illustrated box, and additional vintage play book inserts as shown. Cards feature classic typography and ornate detailing typical of the era. Condition is consistent with age, showing wear to box, paper loss on lid label, toning, and edge wear to cards and booklets. This is a desirable early Rummy set, sometimes referred to as Cooncan, and includes variants such as Moosehead, Numero, Foozle, and Sachem per the original rules. A great collectible for antique game, card game, and early Americana collectors. Includes- box, two rule booklets, deck of 52 playing cards, 2 decks of 44 lettered cards.
