Antique Heintz Art Metal Shop Mixed Metal Bowl (Model 858C)**Origin:** Buffalo, New York, USA**Era:** Late Arts & Crafts / Early Art Deco period (Circa 1912–1918)**Materials:** Spun Solid Bronze with Applied Sterling Silver Overlay**Item Details & Design:**Up for sale is a stunning, authentic piece of early 20th-century American art metalwork from the renowned Heintz Art Metal Shop. This open form bowl is stamped on the base with the official Heintz "Sterling on Bronze" mark alongside the catalog design number 858C. The exterior showcases beautiful, hand-applied sterling silver floral/foliage overlay winding across a rich, dark bronze base. Features a distinctive, heavy double-weight rolled rim typical of Heintz's premier large forms.**Condition Report:**This beautiful bowl is offered in honest, very good vintage condition with an exceptional display presence. Please note the following specific conditional details:- Exterior: The outside retains its beautiful, deep, original dark factory patina which provides an incredible contrast against the sterling silver overlay. - Interior: The inside of the bowl has been polished/cleaned down to the bright bronze by a previous owner over its lifespan, removing the dark interior patina. - Structure: There is a very small, shallow 1/2-inch smooth indentation on the front body. There is no sharp creasing, cracking, or damage to the bronze or the sterling silver decoration.
