Vintage 1870 Alexander Francis Lydon Long Eared Owl Woodcut Framed Art Drawing<br><br>Long-Eared Owl is a modern artwork reprinted from the original in 1870 by the British artist Alexander Francis Lydon (1836-1917). Woodcut print, hand colored, published by London, Bell & Sons, 1870. This work is part of a print suite realized for F. O. Morris after drawings by Richard Alington, to create an inventory of British Birds.<br><br>About the Artist: Alexander Francis Lydon (1836-1917) was a British watercolor artist, illustrator and engraver of natural history and landscape. He worked for the printer Benjamin Fawcett, where he had been an apprentice from an early age. He collaborated on a large number of works with Rev. Francis Orpen Morris.<br>Frame: The frame is made with real barn wood and perfectly accents the drawing.<br>Measures: 17"h x 14" w 1.5" d<br>Condition: Good condition with very bright and vivid colors. No damage to the print or frame.
