Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust, 36 mm, reference 16030, serial 8598360. The serial dates it to 1984. Silver sunburst dial with applied baton hour markers, quickset date at three, and T SWISS T below six, which is the tritium marking used before Rolex moved to Luminova.Please read this part before you bid. This watch is not in its original factory configuration, and I would rather tell you than have you find out.Reference 16030 is the all stainless steel Datejust, and it left the factory with a steel engine turned bezel and an all steel bracelet. This one has been fitted with a fluted bezel that tests as 18k gold, and the Jubilee bracelet carries gold centre links that test as 14k gold. The clasp is stamped 62510H and STEEL INOX, which is Rolex's steel Jubilee reference rather than the 62523H two tone. The bezel and the links are therefore different karats, which a factory two tone Rolex would not be.So what you are buying is a genuine Rolex Datejust 16030 that has been dressed as a two tone. The case, the movement, the dial, the bracelet and the clasp are Rolex. The gold is real gold. It simply did not all start life on this watch. It is photographed from every angle including the case back, the clasp and the clasp stampings so you can see exactly what is here.Condition is honest pre-owned for a watch of this age. It runs. There is a mark on the crystal near the date window, visible in the photographs, and the case and bracelet carry the scratches and softened edges you would expect from forty years of wear.
