From the Hazel-Atlas Glass Company (Wheeling, West Virginia), this is a vintage guide to food preservation by home canning and freezing. An earlier version dates back to 1948; this version was copyrighted in 1954 and was printed in the USA.This paperback color cookbook has recipes for canning and freezing all types of food. It reviews various methods of food preservation, approximate yields, standard canning and freezing terms and more. The guide has 76 pages plus front and back covers. It is very clean with no writing, markings or bent corners. There is very light wear on some edges. Fully open, the guide measures about 13.5 inches in width and 9.75 inches in height. Closed, it measures 6.75 inches in width. Weight is 6.2 ounces. This collectible item is shipped bagged and boarded, using US Postal Service Ground Advantage mail.
