Authentic Antique Continental European Mixed-Metal Tea Kettle Up for sale is a beautiful, highly collectible primitive tea kettle dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. This piece features a heavy-gauge copper/brass alloy body that has developed a gorgeous, deep, authentic aged patina with incredible historical character. Key Design Features: - Brass Ribbon Handle: Fitted with a robust, wide brass flat ribbon swing strap handle secured tightly with heavy-duty side rivets. - Classic Gooseneck Spout: Features an elegant, gracefully curved spout. - Original Wooden Finial: The domed lid features its original turned wooden spindle knob, historically designed to protect fingers from heat conduction. - Maker's Hallmark: Stamped cleanly on the bottom base is a deeply struck pictorial guild mark housed inside a classic heraldic shield cartouche. Condition Report: This item is in honest antique condition. It features a rich, dark patina with natural aging, surface weathering, and light verdigris (green oxidation) near the handle hinges that authenticates its long history of hearth use. The metal shows minor surface scuffs and pitting on the bottom consistent with sitting on vintage stoves. No major structural cracks.
