Up for sale is a charming, vintage Chinese seal paste (Yinni) presentation box from the renowned heritage brand Yidege (一得阁). Founded in 1865, Yidege is famous for its premium calligraphy and art supplies. Please Note: This listing is for the BOX ONLY. The interior porcelain container and red ink paste are not included. Features: Exterior: Beautiful yellow and gold-toned woven silk brocade fabric featuring a classic plum blossom and geometric motif. Closure: Traditional bone or faux-ivory toggle pin closure with fabric loop. Interior: Padded white fabric lining designed to safely cushion a round ceramic ink dish. Shows faint, authentic red vermilion ink smudges at the bottom from previous use. Condition: Vintage condition with clear signs of age and wear. The front paper label has some peeling/surface loss. The bottom underside has significant paper backing peel/cardboard wear. Fabric and toggle are intact and the box functions perfectly. Please review all photos carefully to assess the cosmetic condition before purchasing. Great piece for collectors of traditional Chinese stationery, scholars' objects, or as a replacement case for a loose ink container!
