Up for sale is a stunning rare, mid-century vintage braided mesh rope necklace crafted by the highly respected German manufacturer Friedrich Binder Mönsheim (FBM). This elegant opera-length piece measures a generous 30 inches, featuring fine, flexible metallic ribbons woven into tubular mesh strands that are intricately braided together. **Details & Markings:** - **Hallmarks:** Stamped on the bail loop with the stylized FBM maker's mark, "AMERIK RG" (Amerik Rolled Gold / high-quality European gold-filled), and "GERMANY". 1/80 18K RGP. See pictures for details. - **Length:** Approx. 30 inches total length (measures 15 inches when laid flat) - **Style:** Versatile opera length that hangs elegantly, or can be looped twice for a layered choker look. **Condition:** The necklace is in excellent vintage condition with a beautifully preserved gold finish showing zero green oxidation or base metal bleed.
