Offered is an 8.5-inch Japanese Blue and White (Sometsuke) porcelain plate. This piece dates to the Meiji or Taisho era and features an intricate hand-painted landscape of birds and winding floral scrolls. Technical Specifications: - Construction: High-quality Japanese hard-paste porcelain with a very clean, precisely turned foot rim. - Dimensions: 8.5-inch diameter. - Condition: In honest antique condition. There is a visible chip on the rim (with some repair), and some minor "flea bite" wear to the edge (please see the last two macro photos for detail). No structural cracks. Sourced from a local estate sale.
