Incredible set of 13 matching vintage black carved buttons in a striking fan or shell shape. These have a dramatic high-dome conical profile with radiating carved lines fanning out from the base, creating a shell or peacock tail effect. Each comes to a soft point at the top.The close-up profile shot really shows off the geometry. These are tall, almost bead-like in their three-dimensional shape, with a flat box shank on the back that has a single hole for thread attachment. Approximately 1/2" diameter and about 3/8" tall.Material is molded black plastic or possibly early thermoplastic. All 13 are matching and in excellent condition with crisp, clean carved lines and no damage.Having 13 matching buttons in this distinctive a design is rare. That is more than enough for a full garment front plus sleeves.
