Vintage souvenir ceramic tile trivet from Battleship Cove in Fall River, Massachusetts, featuring the USS Massachusetts (BB-59) "Big Mamie."The battleship is illustrated in classic blue and gray steaming across the water, framed by a nautical gold rope border with a knotted bottom. Red lettering reads USS Massachusetts at top and Battleship Cove, Fall River, Massachusetts below.Made by NANCO (Nancy Sales Co. Inc., Chelsea, Mass). Original foil maker's sticker is still intact on the back. Made in Taiwan.Cork-backed with a metal hang grommet, so it works as a trivet, a wall piece, or a desk display. A great gift shop keepsake for Navy veterans, WWII history buffs, and battleship collectors.Condition: Good vintage condition with small red marks shown in last photo. Glazed front is bright and glossy with crisp color and no chips or cracks. Cork backing shows age toning, light staining, and some edge wear from storage (see photos). Displays beautifully face-out. Measures approximately 6 x 6 inches (standard tile size).Smoke-free.
